I am, first and foremost, a mom of three precious children. I am also a lover of books, music, travel and great food. I am so thankful to be able to create a lifestyle of learning and loving that centers around our home.
We are in our second year of homeschooling . My children are thankful that they don’t have to get on a bus and sit in school every day. I am thankful that I get to have my kids with me. Every day. I get to see them grow. I get to see them learn. I get watch them laugh and play. My heart is so very thankful for this…
Let me introduce my family. If you would have told me a decade ago that I would be a stay-at-home mom of three homeschooled kids, I would have told you that you were absolutely crazy! In another life, I used to be a psychotherapist in a private practice and in an inpatient gambling clinic. Well, here we are, in 2015, in our second year homeschooling, and loving every minute of it! I tend to judge things based on how I feel about them. Homeschooling just feels right. For me, for my kids.
This is DD. She is my spirited, creative, hilarious, witty, and wise 8-year-old daughter. From the moment I first saw her, I knew that we were in for an adventure! She loves animals and anything feeds her hungry creative drive.
This is is DS1. He is my kind, gentle-hearted, easy-going, intelligent 6-year-old boy. I was in love from the moment I met him. He loves video games (especially Minecraft!), building and creating, drawing, and dressing up as a cowboy, soldier, pirate or superhero.
This is DS2. He is my rough-and-tumble, fearless, precocious, 3-year-old baby boy. He loves playing with his older brother, dressing up, cooking, and anything hands-on. He is my lamb in lion’s clothing!
This is my wonderful husband (and me). I am so thankful for him for so many reasons. He makes me laugh. He makes me think. He lets me be me. He works hard so I can stay home with my children. He trusts me and my decisions. I could go on and on…
